It’s been a rush of excitement and fun over these few weeks in Room 24. Creating balloon-powered cars, swimming lessons and getting to know each other. In the process, we have been establishing our class routines and working together. Watch this space!

Our first Te Reo Maori Lesson was fascinating. We all had a lot of fun working on asking Kei te pēwhea koe? How are you feeling? Boy, we had so many different feelings and asked each other using our Chromebooks to video. Leon even discovered there was a record option on the slide. Well done Leon!
We have been blessed to have a new Promethean Board in our learning space! We cannot wait to be able to use it together.
Over the course of the last few weeks of end of Term 3 and the beginning to Term 4, we have being using the amazing art of Warren Pohatu as inspiration for our art. Last week we completed our T shirts for Mitey focusing on the book Aroha’s Way. We explored the use of warm and cold colours.
Wow, what a fun day and a great way to celebrate all the hard work that has gone into these performances!
We had such a great day of watching the learning across Homai take part in Homai’s Got Talent. Showcasing their favourite things to do like dancing and singing and comedy.

Room 3
During the past week, the incredible Room 3 students have been creating and sharing some amazing google forms on their chosen investigation. Investigations have been on favourite fast food to which is the most popular social media app room 3 like to use. We cannot wait to show the results.
Over the past 2 weeks we have been exploring this amazing article called “The house that Dan built”. It’s about this amazing young man named Dan, who created this incredible ‘Eco’ house using minecraft. We have been doing the same. The room 3 houses are looking amazing!

Last week Room 3 and the other members of Ahukura went to Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple New Zealand here in Auckland. We had the chance to explore and participate in some amazing activities. One of the most enjoyable activities was the calligraphy!
